About Trogons Bird
Trogons are “among the most beautiful of birds”. They mean precious, sacred, and distinct . They have a cosmopolitan distribution in the world but they are seldom known and seen. In Ancient history , some rulers and nobilities wore headdresses made from trogons feathers. Its feathers, symbols for spring plant growth, were venerated by the ancient Aztecs and Maya who viewed trogons as the “god of the air” and as a symbol of goodness and light. The Maya also viewed them symbolizing Liberty,freedom and wealth, due to their view of trogons could not be bred or held for long time in captivity.
